Our roof inspection showed that the insulation contained in this roof assembly had become saturated with water from recurring roof leaks. We removed the existing roofing and insulation, and installed new polyisocyanurate insulation, and a Duro-Last PVC roof system.

Replaced two old leaking flat roof skylights on a home in Haldimand County, Ontario. The original skylights were not mounted on a curb, and developed leaks consequently. We removed these, built and installed curbs, and then replaced the old skylights with new Velux units.

Watertite Roofing recently replaced this old asphalt & gravel built-up-roofing (BUR) with an energy efficient, cool roof Duro-Last PVC system. The installation took place in the area of Welland, Ontario.

Watertite Roofing completed a partial tear-out and overlay installation on this industrial facility in the Niagara Peninsula of Ontario. A solar reflective, white, Duro-Last PVC cool roof system was selected by the client and installed.

The old skylights on this roof in Brantford, Ontario, had developed leaks. Watertite quickly responded to the call from this home owner and replaced the skylights with new Velux flat roof specific skylights.

When Watertite Roofing roofing received a call from a local business who desperately needed to get multiple severe roof leaks resolved, we immediately dispatched a pair of flat roof experts to Niagara Falls to assess the issue and temporarily seal the affected areas. Watertite staff acquired the required materials to complete permanent repairs, and returned the next morning to patch the torn EPDM roofing.

On this project in Hamilton, our team of experts were required to remove the existing TPO roofing that had been poorly installed within the past 10-years. The insulation beneath the TPO roofing had become saturated with water as a consequence of roof leaks. We replaced the saturated insulation with new polyisocyanurate insulation, and and installed a Duro-Last PVC cool roof flat and low-slope roof system.

On this project in Petrolia, Ontario, approximately half of the plywood roof deck was rotten due to years of recurring leaks. We removed the modified bitumen roofing and the rotten plywood in these areas. New plywood was then installed, and a Duro-Last flat roof system was laid across the entire roof. Adjacent to the flat roofing were masonry parapet walls. The Watertite team, with their expertise in flat roofing, discovered that these walls’ structural stability had been compromised. They reinforced the walls using lumber to ensure stability. Once secured, the Duro-Last membrane was extended over the walls, creating a dependable, monolithic seal across the entire flat roof envelope.

We completed this flat roof replacement on a retirement home in Welland, located in the heart of the Niagara Region, Ontario. The original roof was an asphalt and gravel built-up roof (BUR). The Watertite team conducted extensive core sampling and moisture testing to ensure the roofing substrates were not retaining water from roof leaks. Our tests confirmed this, allowing us to use an overlay installation method with a Duro-Last flat and low-slope roof system. Instead of incurring unnecessary costs to remove and replace the old roofing and insulation, we found the insulation was still functional. Therefore, we left the existing materials in place, saving on labor, disposal, and replacement expenses. We installed the new Duro-Last PVC roof system over the existing BUR roofing, using a roofing recovery board as a protective layer between the old and new roofs. The project included extensive parapet wall details adjacent to and rising above the flat roofs. We extended the Duro-Last membrane over these walls, creating a monolithic seal across the flat roof and parapets. Additionally, we replaced eleven old skylights with new double-domed flat roof skylights from Velux. This flat roofing project in Niagara’s Welland region demonstrates our expertise in roof replacement and roof repair, using top-quality materials like Duro-Last and Velux skylights.

Commercial flat roofing replacement in Haldimand County. The previous roof was a modified bitumen roof system that we were able to encapsulate with a Duro-Last PVC flat roof system. Duro-Last walkpads were installed on the new flat roof, leading to and around all regularly serviced rooftop mechanical units (HVAC equipment), to add an additional layer of protection to the roof.

This residential flat roof in the Niagara region of Ontario was in need of serious repair when we were contacted. Leaks were occurring throughout multiple rooms of the home. The flat roof specialists at Watertite Roofing identified that there was rotten wood roof deck that required repair, contained beneath the roofing as a consequence of the ongoing leaks. Our staff completed a roof removal of the old asphalt/gravel BUR (Built-up-roof), then repaired & replaced the damaged wood roof decking. We had suggested that at this stage there was an opportunity to add additional insulation to the flat roof envelope, and the homeowner seized the opportunity and had us install 2-inches of polyisocyanurate insulation, adding R-11.4 to the total R-Value of this section of the residence. Once the roof had been insulated, we installed a charcoal coloured Duro-Last PVC flat & low-slope roof system, complimented by a 15-year materials and labour warranty from Watertite Roofing & Duro-Last.

This was a roof past it’s prime. The insulation contained within the roofing had become saturated with water from roof leaks. Due to this, the entire roof had to be removed which included ballast stone, EPDM roofing, fiberboard and roofmate insulation. To repair this roof, a new vapour barrier was installed, followed by rigid polyisocyanurate insulation panels and a Duro-Last PVC flat roof system.

Skylights – yes, we install these too! Velux makes the finest skylights in the industry and we at Watertite are certified and trusted Velux skylights installers. We replaced this leaking window structure on a flat roof in St. Catharines, Ontario, with a new, flat roof specific, Velux skylight.

Watertite also services the new construction industry. On this build in Hamilton, Ontario, we were required to install a vapour barrier & 6-inches of polyisocyanurate rigid insulation, giving this building’s new roof an R-Value of R-34.2. Once the roof had been insulated, we then installed a Duro-Last cool roof system.

We have the right solution for low-slope metal roofing also. This project in the Brantford area features the installation of a metal roof overlay Duro-Last roof assembly. To complete this roof replacement, rigid insulation was installed between the steel roof’s corrugations, in order to level off the roof surface. A Duro-Last roof system was then installed atop of the insulation, encapsulating the roof envelope and providing a monolithic seal across the roof.

It is often not the flat roof causing that leak from overhead. In this case, driving rains were penetrating this brick wall. The repair for this issue involved the installation of high-quality metal siding for a warehouse construction using Agway Metals products in the Hamilton area of Ontario.
